If the flag stands for our nation and our freedoms, and exercising your freedoms is seen as disrespecting that symbol, then what does the symbol actually stand for?  It seems like a circular argument to me that ends very illogically.  I personally wouldn't sit for the National Anthem, but I also don't leap to conclusions about those who do.  Instead, I want to hear their perspective, and often I respect their opinion/viewpoint.

Separately, and I said this in my post in this thread, would you be comfortable being labeld a racist by virtue of your blanket dismissal of the viewpoints of those protesting via sitting?  It would be logically inconsistent to make judgements about those who are sitting during the National Anthem, but then reject similar blanket judgements about yourself, no?
