As I sat and watched her final high school game, I found joy in the fact that she played the best game of her career. I hope she can be an inspiration to younger players in that the slowest, least athletic kid on the team can earn a starting role and the captaincy by being dedicated, studious on the court, and learning to overcome athletic shortcomings with intelligence and development of basketball IQ. 

Coaches who have had success will tell you that you need "that" kid on your team. Those who have been there understand my meaning. I am the proudest papa in the world knowing my daughter is "that" kid. 8A state champ her sophomore year, 1 point away from a second Final 4 last year. This year was a significant drop off, but not too shabby of a career.
