That alone does not make either one of us experts on the topic. Having said that, chemo knows WAY more about the ACA than I do, and I've learned a lot from his posts on the subject, but knowing all the intricacies of the ACA is a full-time job for a lot of people, let alone one.

Overascribing expertise can be as much of a problem as not giving it any credence at all. As examples, I give considerable weight to chemo's posts on medicine and related topics, I give considerable weight to Beach's posts on taxes, I give considerable weight to Investi's posts on law enforcement, I give considerable weight to Bri's posts on manufacturing and UFNY's on education, and I give ultimate weight to Mud's posts on reality TV. And you should all give considerable weight to my posts on the Monkees. But those areas of expertise don't automatically transfer to other stuff that we opine on.

We've got a lot of expertise on this board, and I wish we'd give it more weight overall. That doesn't mean we should assume perfection either. We're all human.
