Message Replied To ========== That's like saying in Japan they eat a lot of fish and live a long time..... ...so if we eat a lot of fish, we'll live a long time too. We're substantively different in many ways from other countries, not least of which is the 2nd. That negates the "it works there, it'll work here", unless you're talking about repealing it so we're more like everyone else. ==============================because the Japanese are human behings, just as we are human beings. Unless you know something I don't. For us to find out if their diet works here we would need to test it on an American population. It's possible that other variables actually control their lifespan more than their diet, but until we test it out we are just speculating. So, let's test it. Your approach to arguing against reform is very consistent, but consistently flawed in that you want a full-proof method prior to any new legislation. In other words, you obstruct with an expectation that can never be met. You sit at the top of a tower and restrict progress based on any minute degree of uncertainty. That's neither scientific nor reasonable.
