It specifically talks about the predictions of what would happen immediately after a successful Brexit vote, none of which came true.  The article ends with stating Brexit hasn't occurred yet and the full impact remains to be seen. But, with the almost 2 years since that vote, the collapse and run for the hills mentality that was predicted has not occurred.

Also, based on what this article states, it seems those on the left would like what they see with some of the impacts, including a smaller wage gap  complete with promise of higher wages/bonuses for the working poor and lower middle class.
