The whole point of the article was to call out those who had wrongly predicted immediate impact. *

negative things would have already happened have been provcn wrong, not that somethng negative never will happen as a result of Brexit.  Further, it points out thaqt some of the possible negative impacts likely wouldn't be nearly as severe, even if they were to happen, and provides good reasons why.  In sum, Brexit will almost certainly have some impact and certain individuals & businesses will feel different impacts, but predictions of doom & gloom have yet to magterialize and likely won't.  And the second point of the article, imo, is that the erroneous projections came in great measure as a result of economists & politicians apparently failing to consider that any POV other than their own could have serious merit.
