"LOL that is just bunk . . . the US produces 2.5x as much today as 1980 but with 1/3 the workers . . " |
|
Message Replied To ========== And that doesn't even take into account the threat to our country to lose our ability to even make things any more. That is the scariest part about it to me. All of the brain work of manufacturing is happening in other countries, and we are developing and enriching some of our potential worse enemies by letting them sell into our markets and destroy our manufacturing capabilities. We and the free-traitors have created China and others, and we WILL reap what we have sewn. ============================== The main culprit? Foreigners? No 85% of the losses were to tech (robots). Even today the US is still the/a world leader in high tech manufacturing (planes, semiconductors, etc). We are not losing brain power or the ability. We are gaining productive capacity and specialization . . . and other countries have advantages that benefit the whole as we let them do their best. The national security argument is complete bunk . . . but it is the go to argument for all manner of government over reach. |
