Recall that UF was purging gay faculty and students not many years before that. So Appeldorf had a habit of going to NYC and hiring hookers. He hired the wrong guys on his last trip, and they followed him home. If they had just robbed him, that would have been kind. He got much, much worse, even before he died. A sorority sister's boyfriend was on the cleanup crew after the murder. He was newly discharged Army infantry, and even he was horrified. Ever wonder why teh gheyz are so much about being out of the closet? Things like this. Appeldorf didn't have to die. |
