If you own a business that relies at least partially on paying customers having a place to sit, and your place is full of people who aren't buying anything but taking up space, what do you do about that? They are, in fact, trespassing if you decide to call it that way. And if they are, the cops are supposed to do something about it.

You can argue that the employee was too quick to call it trespassing and the cops might have not cuffed people, but they did seem to be doing their job.
