I have a very good friend, same pay grade as Jackson etc, who has extensive experience in the VA, NIH and CDC. he HAS run large operations involving government healthcare (I can't say which without exposing who he is). Unlike Dr Jackson, this guy HAS the experience and qualifications to run the VA.

He sees what is happening to Jackson and how Jackson has no ability to defend against these anonymous sources. He sees that these so far unsubstantiated reports are being leaked to the press by members of the committee in what is clearly an attempt to ruin Jackson's reputation. Even the Wash Po link DJ linked put in the title that Jackson should not be able hold his current job (editorializing not reporting, which is why I distrust the WashPo).

My friend has ZERO intention of even putting his name in the ring for the job because of this #badword# circus.

I thought Jackson should be rejected based on experience..but they salted the field now by trying to ruin the MAN personally. Whoever gets the job will be inadequate because nobody in their right mind will want to take it now.

It is disgusting.==============================
