Message Replied To ========== That right there is the threat to the republic. You have reduced DT's transgressions to paying off a porn star, and found them less onerous than the sins of his predecessor. Its too hard to remember the exponentially expanding list of precedent setting outrages, so many of us simply forget anything but what he did last week.
Essentially ignoring or minimizing Trump's relentless attacks on the free press & the legitimacy of his own justice department; his threats to use said justice dept. to attack political enemies, subversion of the congress to a level of spinelessness that the GOP caucus has largely become unconcerned about pretty much anything other than protecting Trump. Using the office to personally enrich himself and his family, and its becoming more and more apparent, even selling the policies of the United States for personal or political gain. You can accuse the media of overfocus on the legal implications of the porn star payoffs, but don't conflate our stated concerns about the threats to the republic with them. And PS, Trump has continued the drone attacks as well ==============================off a porn star, and found them less onerous than the sins of his predecessor. Essentially ignoring or minimizing Trump's relentless attacks on the free press & the legitimacy of his own justice department; By his words? What has he done to the free press with actions? Did he imprison journalist (oh look the same James Risen quoted here a few days ago) his threats to use said justice dept. to attack political enemies, Again, threat . . . talk . . . subversion of the congress to a level of spinelessness that the GOP caucus has largely become unconcerned about pretty much anything other than protecting Trump. Please don't make me laugh . . . This is not a Donald problem . . . and the fact that you think it is speaks to my point. Using the office to personally enrich himself and his family, and its becoming more and more apparent, even selling the policies of the United States for personal or political gain. Most assuredly . . .
You can accuse the media of overfocus on the legal implications of the porn star payoffs, but don't conflate our stated concerns about the threats to the republic with them. I'll post what I want. You can characterize it however you wish. And PS, Trump has continued the drone attacks as well Yes, I'm aware. As I was aware with Obama . . . unlike much of the rest of the country. |
