about the "Good Old Days" with Dooley against UF, that will only mean that the "Sh_t Days" of the present are still going on for UGA. UGA still just loves to trot out the old "We still lead the series." True enough but our success against UGA isn't JUST the recent 13 of the last 14 despite how UGA fans would like to have the world beleive.
To wit:
Since 1940....UF 32
UGA 30
TIE 1
Prior to 1940...UF 3
UGA 14
TIE 1
So the current "whopping" 9 game series lead which Dawg fans still hang onto for dear life because the present sucks so bad comes from a domintaing era over UF PRIOR TO 1940. Sorry, but UF's lack of success against UGA back then doesn't bug me a bit. I mean hell, my Father who just passed away at age 75 was a child then and it would be another 27 years AFTER 1940 until I was EVEN born. One other thing:
You say the Dooley years REALLY got to us? Who's career at the respective school was more impressive, Spurrier or Dooley?
Dooley 6 SEC Titles, 1 National Title
Spurrier 6 SEC Titles, 1 National Title
And the difference is.....
It took Dooley TWENTY-FIVE YEARS. Spurrier did it in TWELVE. End of argument.
