Message Replied To ========== Here is a simple example of a dogwhistle The POTUS choosing to NOT to comment on Roseanne Barr's racist comment was pretty clearly a conscious decision, and one that seemingly was designed to send a message (dogwhistle) to the portion of his base who thinks the POTUS believes it's OK to make racist remarks publicly. ==============================Obama weighed in heavily on Trayvon. Was that a dogwhistle to black militant organizations like Nation of Islam? Every president chooses what to respond to and how much. IMO seeing such choices as coded messages veers toward shadowy conspiracy theories and such.
