3 to 3 tie game. A friend and I were on the top most row on the east side. When the F$U students jumped the wall, the Boys from ole Florida, swarmed onto the field. Reminded me of kicking the top off of an ant hill. Some of the Gators werre former football players who were unhappy with the Noles on Florida Field. Melee lasted several minutes and the goalposts did not come down. 1946 to the present, I do not recall our students going for the goal posts, at The Swamp.
