on the SCOTUS nominations?  Gorsuch is a nomination that your prior self would not have objected?  Why all the push for liberal justices now?  

Because Trump?  Because Garland?  Is it really the party that has moved and not you? 

Republicans are no longer Republican. Conservatives are no longer conservative. I do not recognize what is currently passing for both "Republican" and "conservative".

I was opposed to Gorsuch on the basis of how McConnell corrupted the process re: Garland, and killed the filibuster on top of that, which to me was even more significant. The filibuster was a very important safety mechanism. Supreme Court justices should require 60 votes, and if the Founding Fathers had foreseen where we are currently, I suspect they would have required it. 

If you want to declare me more leftward based on the abject stupidity and shortsightedness of Trump's immigration policy, have at it. My perceived leftwardness is a result of the Republican Party leaving me, not vice versa. Have I changed some over the years? Yes, I have. But ultimately, mine is not a case where I left the Republican Party. The Republican Party left me.
