Message Replied To ========== MIAUTIGER: http://wayneandhobbes.com/board/display.cgi?page=1&thrd=4&mess=1117318&full=1&bypass=1 From Facebook on Jul 2: "Prayers, hugs and uplifting thoughts needed for my sister in law, Rebecca, her husband, Tim and their daughters. Yesterday afternoon Tim collapsed in their yard and was found not breathing and unresponsive. After continuous efforts to resuscitate him, he finally started breathing again when they got to the ER. He is now currently in a medically induced coma and on hypothermic protocol while they assess his condition. They will begin to wake him up at some point tomorrow and from there will determine what the next step is. Please send uplifting thoughts to Tim, Rebecca, their kids and his doctors during this time. There’s not much else they can do at this point, but they can feel the support! Many thanks!" "For those asking about an update on my brother-in-law, Tim: Many prayers and well wishes are still needed please! Today Tim was transferred to University of Tennessee to their neuro ICU unit. On Tuesday they tried to take him out of sedation and he didnt handle that well, so they sedated him again and brought him out of his hypothermic state. After cardiology evaluated him, they determined his heart was not at fault for his collapse. He was then able to get an MRI of his brain and CT of his chest. As far as I know, his CT came back with no significant findings, but the MRI of his brain had abnormal findings. They are currently weaning him off of his sedation again and he seems to be handling it much better. The next step is to determine his brain function, so please pray for better than expected results! Even with something as simple as a reflex reaction, Ive been told he is reacting more than expected, so thats great! It is seeming to be a VERY long road ahead for Rebecca, Tim and the girls, but your support and thoughts are much appreciated! Thank you for all the prayers, thoughts and check-ins on their behalf!" And why we need him back . . . it's way too early for him.
