His reply gave enough info to tell you he didn't like the article because he thought it inane or not worth the time he took to read it.  Plus, it had an element of humor in that it mirrored a reply he made down the board- - but with slightly more detail, in apparent light of the fact you found a problem with that reply, as well. I thought it was funny, even if mildly at your expense. All that -- in only three words!

Besides, JVJ has a track record of some of the most substantive, thought-provoking posts here. I often disagree with him, but I almost always read his stuff because in my experience he's one of few here who actually revisit their opinions during the course of a conversation and will give your viewpoint a fair listen -- traits almost unheard of on the Lounge.

If someone wants to post a one-word reply to my posts, that's fine, as long as I understand what they meant by it. If that's all they had to say, if that's all they had time to contribute, if that's all my awesome pearls of wisdom generated in terms of feedback, I'm good with that. Even a like or dislike is an acknowledgement and contribution on a minimal level, and I'm fine if that's all it merited from their point of view.

I tend not to write books here, if I can avoid it. My nature is to try to get my message across using as few words as necessary, so I appreciate not having to wade through someone's 1,500-word thesis on why their thoughts about stuff I only marginally care about are so incredible, when it's often not needed.
