To me, it's par for the course with trump. Bluster, outrageous unthiking statements, pure ego-venting. But I continue to be unwilling to equate those with direct actions.

Should this actually lead to some bad actions with russia or whomever, then I'll be concerned.

I have been a Nevertrumper from the jump, but I don't think I have been one to sound alarms every single time Trump said something stupid as President.  (I have made jokes and tried to yank a few chains around here, but I haven't been screaming gloom and doom since the election).  I have been waiting for Trump to actually screw something up before getting upset.

Today, I am upset.  I feel our country was betrayed yesterday by his words.   There is a very real danger in being seen to suck up to Putin, accepting responsibility for bad relations with Russia, undermining the DOJ and FBI on an international stage, and questioning the intelligence of both the US and our allies.  I have honestly never been more disappointed in a President.

No, this alone doesn't destroy the world, but this type of activity has got to be nipped in the bud right now.   I have already been on the phone with the office of my congresswoman and one of our Senators, asking the Republican leadership to take action.   There are a variety of things that can be done, but Trump needs to be pressured into walking back his statements from yesterday and made to enforce and possibly expand sanctions against Russia.

Its not the end of the world, or the end of Trump's Presidency, but we cannot allow his statements to stand.
