Dude lost his life for his actions. He paid the consequences for his actions. The debate is not whether he was right, he was wrong and paid for it with his life. The debate is whether or not the other guy who started the fight and who went nuclear escalating it by killing a man should face consequences. So yes, being an active participant DOES matter. I just want to see consequences for the other guy who escalated the fight to another level. Cowardice should not be an excuse to murder someone. Just as hostile words should not = shove shove should not = death. Yes, one guy escalated the fight with a shove, but the guy you are defending did not only escalate it, he went nuclear... If escalating a fight by shoving someone equals death, I can't wait for you to explain what escalating a fight by shooting someone equals...
