I jumped in during the 2016 campaign. There was uncertainty that fostered give and take between posters loyal to different candidates. Now, fixed positions create endless predictable personal disputes over repetitive issues hourly, so I rarely post because my opinion does not matter. Nobody else’s does, either. While traveling the last month, I realized this place was like the soap opera General Hospital in the 1970’s. Skip a few weeks and you can be enmeshed in the plot watching one episode. Nothing really changes. I will continue scanning, liking, and opining occasionally. I actually enjoy it. But please don’t assume my restraint is an endorsement of anything.
