I simply stated what the proper protocol for flying the flag is. Precedent and others not following proper protocol does not change that. Y'all were posting that the WH violated flag protocol regarding McCain. They did not, they followed the exact protocol. Now you are trying to say that they should make an exception to that protocol which may or may not be true..but it still does not change the fact that the WH did NOT violate propoer protocol and that ABC (who seems to be most interested in the flagtroversy) and your twitter link are incorrect regarding flags flown at halfmast.

I am not a Trump supporter and don't need another "see what a terrible human being Trump is" example..hell, I voted for McCain every time I could...but this is not newsworthy. It certainly should not overshadow the trade agreement with Mexico today, yet it seems as if complaining about Trump is more important than real issues that effect the nation.==============================

Substance-wise, it may just be the distraction du jour, particularly given the Mexico is about to have a new President, and Congressional ratification is required.
