As one example, albeit a significant one, the PR electrical grid was essentially 3rd-world BEFORE the storms of last summer. It is fair to criticize this administration wrt the response to the natural disaster. It is also disingenuous to neglect mention of the realities facing any recovery, including the fact it IS an island and the crumbling infrastructure in many areas before the storms. And if one is intent on placing political blame, there is plenty to go around for Trump, the Republicans, AND the Democrats who have controlled Puerto Rico for as long as we have been alive. |
