The last Gator game I was able to attend was the last time we played ChaSo a couple of years ago. It was Alumni Band, and my dear, dear Uncle James (UF ‘73) - who is a big reason why I am a Gator - had passed away young. He had the same diagnosis that I now have. My cousins had provided me with a miniature urn with a tiny amount of his ashes and asked me to take him to Florida Field. 

Before the game, I put some of his ashes in the fire pit at the Pike house. During the halftime show, I put the rest of the ashes on the 40 yard line. ...and then we lost that game. 

Last night, order was restored to the universe. Uncle James may now Rest In Peace.
