You know, I'm not a fan of his, I thought his statement about not voting because there was no difference between Hillary and Trump is truly one of the stupidest things I heard during the 2016 campaign, but some of the stuff I've read on this board about him is garbage.

The kneeling was suggested by Vietnam vet Nate Boyer, peaceful protest of a social injustice is one of the most patriotic things that happens in this great country.

But anyway, like this vet says, vets don't get to decide what respecting the flag means.

actions.  We keep hearing how kneeling (a heretofore reverent position by the way) is disrespecting the flag and national anthem.  Well guess what, whether you or UCC1 likes it or not, you don't get to decide what it means to the person actually doing it, period.

And we should also be clear, I dont believe for a second UCC1 gives a flying f$#K about it OTHER than he sees it as a way to rile up his base, period. end.  And the lemmings take it from there. 

I don't personally agree with it, but I absolutely respect his/their reasoning and right to do it.

and has been said here today, i bet a bunch of the people all pissed off about it are the same ones who can't be bothered to stop what they're doing if it's mildly inconvenient to do so when the anthem plays.
