It's as if they prefer actual victims of sexual assault to keep their big mouths shut because there is a possibility that someone along the way can accuse them (or their sons) of something they either did or didn't do in the past.

Well call me an idealist (or call me something worse), but as a father of a girl (and now an infant granddaughter) and of a son, but that is a chance I am willing to take so as to empower women to stand up for themselves.

I think we as men need to do some soul searching and figure out what is going on inside our heads when it comes to this issue.

who played right into the fear mongering by focusing more on being self-righteous against "white male privilege" than protecting those who were victimized by sexual assault. 

The movement started great. Actually, the origins of the #metoo movement are tragically beautiful in how victims (mostly women) used the # to identify themselves...so others are not alone. Just putting #metoo in a subject had such a tremendous impact in empowering victims. The movement was glorious.

As for those who were initially "hunted"....most were not called out by victims. Dots were connected by those who could see a pattern and those connections (made mostly by third parties) brought the entertainment industry to its knees and held it responsible for eons of abuse.

But then the SJWs got involved. And like everytyhing they touch, the #metoo movement became more about ME TOO than #metoo. The clearest example of this, and the most damaging to the movement, was the Aziz Ansari allegations. By the worst possible interpretation of those facts, Aziz was guitly of beign creepy and a terrible date. He did not force sex on her and she did not participate in sexual acts as some quid pro quo. 

So when we started debating Aziz...many on the left did not defend him...but instead tried to make her claims somewhat credible. After all, we should NEVER miss an opportunity for a good celebrity shaming on Twitter. It's more important to be self-righteous than it is to be right. 

As a result, the #metoo movement became corrupted. It had jumped the shark. What was once a beautiful cause became a tool for those who want to rage against the patriarchy. 

Even now, those same people are so #badword#ing focused with Kavanauh's "white male privilege." The term "white male privilege" started out as way to recognize that there are advantages for some in our society. But the phrase is now a weapon used against white men for no other reason than that they are white. And yes, I do think there are SJWs who only look for blood in the water around white men. 

And worse yet, white male privilege has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. 

The privilege that white men enjoy does NOT extend to rape. I don't care what your gender studies professor or your #woke neighbor want you to believe. White men go to prison for rape all the time.

Furthermore, the specific privilege that Kavenaugh enjoyed went well beyond him being white and being a male. If he did not go to the right prep schools and colleges and was not born into the right family...he wouldn't be up for SCOTUS appointment. His whiteness and maleness aren't as important to his nomination as his family's financial status and social rank. So when the SJWs make this all about "white male privilege" they alienate all the white men who don't come from that level of privilege. 

More important, when the SJWs focus more on generalizing others based on immutable characteristics, they take attention from the disadvantaged. Instead of opening eyes, they put white men on defense. 

In closing my rant, I think there are a few important take-aways from the #metoo movement:

1. There were an alarming number of #metoo tweets; meaning that our society is not doing right by its women. 

2. If you want to change society, condemn bad behavior...but do so in a way that educates those who could be allies...rather than push them away. Focus on the victims rather than generalizations based on race or sex. There are millions of white men who would never rape or abuse, win them to your side....because you need them to effect change. And you don't win them over by telling them that they suck.
