Friday morning, 1 co worker said he was going to two away dwags game- LSU and the semifinal game. I smiled. He kept needling. I asked him if he was alive that last time Uga won the NC.
The arrogance. Dads at a HC HS football game acting cocky as sh1t.Wearing red pants with dwags on them. Smiling. Even wearing visors with the G. They don't realize that coaches like Gus M and others wear a visor in homage to SOS. Smiling at me probably thinking they roll UF.
My kid's date to the dance reminds me of last year's score. I remind him UF has won 3 out of 4. I don't like him already.
Sat AM - A crisp cool morning. Sunny as can be. I see grown ass men barking at each other in the Lowes in Atlanta. Toddlers dressed in UGAly cheer outfits at Publix . Lots and lots of flags on vehicles. Everywhere. Soccer fields filled with red and black - they are smug, they are absolutely convinced this is their statement game to put the NCAA world on notice.
1130 lunch at BlueTop Café in Chamblee - Looks like an alumni meeting of the poodles. Coifed hair and the bearded look all over the place - festooned with UGA shirts. I went there to watch the Gators game. Not possible. I retreat to the house. Funny- all my work friends who are GA fans have stopped tormenting me with text from earlier in the day as the gators found a way to win. Not a single text after half time of the LSU uga game
Sat night- My brothers in arms watch the night games. Auburn Bobby. GA Tech Mark. Bourbon is especially good. WVA losing and scUM choking make it a laugh filled evening.
Sunday ? Zilch. Nothing. Talk radio wants Fromm benched. The hosts can't get to the Falcons game fast enough.
Lots of uneasiness. Say Fields will save them. Not one flag flying today. Went to Lowes. Not one angry G tshirt. No one - not one single person- wearing any UGA stuff. They are embarrassed.
I see a friend and ask him what he thinks of the ROUT. No smiles.
what a nice morning.
