doing about it and their methods of identification and detainment.  This is from a weekly Arizona local news show on PBS that I watch every week.  This is a very informative episode and is from Nov 16th.

There is a huge surge of illegal immigrants and asylum seekers which is only getting worse and which is greatly taxing our resources.  AZ is on the front lines and I see the impact of it everyday here in Tucson.

There has been much debate here about separating children from their "parents" and is it legal or not.  I use quotes because they may not actually be the parents of the children.   It is legal to separate for such reasons as the child is in danger, border control can not make a familial association to whom the children are traveling with, the parents have a criminal record, etc.  No I don't like separating children from parents but there are instances where it benefits the child.

The video also describes the increased in activity near the Lukeville Port of Entry.  This is the PoE my family and I pass through to go to the beach in Puerto Penasco, Sonora.  A beautiful but desolate area.
