From 1990-2001, UF was one of the top 2-3 brands in all of college football. Zook was one of UFs best recruiters as an assistant in early 90s, took the keys to the Ferrari SOS left him, and took off. He just wasn’t a head coach and was canned 2.5 years in. He did leave 2 really, really good classes for his successor.

Meyer took the Ferrari to the shop, made the repairs necessary, and drove it like a champ. 2 national titles and the entire ‘09 season as #1 ranked team in country, the UF brand was as strong as ever.

9-3 was absolute best we could have hoped for his 1st season, and they’ve filled areas of highest need with a bunch of really good looking players.

He’s made huge inroads with the instate areas he’s identified as must have, and is poised to have monster classes in ‘20 and ‘21.

This wasn’t a 1 year rebuild.
