with every post I read...

I can't believe it's already time for a new Gator tradition,  the Fifth Annual Discredit Recruiting Services Event.

It lasts from the first signing day until two weeks after the second. So what is your favorite excuse for our weak recruiting?  Mine is "our coaches are better at spotting talent than the services" (a timeless classic).

But seriously (in the case you haven't already hit dislike,  which I doubt)...I get that Mullen may be aware that he needs to do significantly better than what he has this year in recruiting. I also am impressed with what we are building for the next class. So there is no need to gnash teeth or burn couches. Well,  not this year at least.

But can we PLEASE stop with the anti - recruiting services posts?  They are excuses that devalue our proud program. There is much,  much more honor in owning that we need to do better than there is in pretending that our recruiting is where it needs to be. Stop giving our rivals topics for mocking us. Because that is what they do when the read the endless streams of excuses and recruiting service hate.

We just signed a stud of a qb who fits Mullens system. The Linebacker Corp just got a much needed boost. There are several commits and targets who are widely recognized as blue chips, and who likely will flourish in Mullen's system... We may not have the 5-stars we prefer, but I see very little drop off with the ones we got.

Our rivals mock us more when we melt down and remain critical of our own O&B. We are not devaluing our program when we give props to the strength of our players. The game still needs to be played on the field, and we are headed in the right direction...
