If we and the Germans could do it in the midst of war, so can we in the lounge.
Regardless of our specific beliefs, worldly or supernatural, “It is a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of [all] people...as if they were really fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys.”
After all, “Mankind [is our] business. The common welfare [is our] business; charity, mercy, forbearance, and benevolence [is all of our] business.”
How about for today and tomorrow at least, we get down to business?
Merry Christmas fellow loungers. May yours, regardless of persuasion, be full of hope.
