The reason that our future classes are doing much better than the current one is most likely due to the fact that many of the 2019 kids had already made up their minds on their favorites while Florida was still struggling. Thus their opinions of Florida were based on the last 9 years of sucktitude. Almost all of the 2020 and 2021 blue chip recruits committed in the last 2 months when Florida was on the uptick.
Of course the rub here is that we have to continue to get better to hold these recruits. A bad year and all of them could bolt. These guys have bought into Mullen and the direction we are heading. This means, even the bowl game is critical to keeping these guys.
Having said this, there is no reason why the current 2019 class can't go out and prove to everyone that they are indeed a top 5 recruiting class. These are all guys that we targeted and we know at least they are all smart, because they wanted to be Gators.
