So, I take my daughter to get her first pair of glasses and to kill the hour wait, my son says he needs a haircut. So low and behold, right across the street is a barber shop. We go over there and sit right down to get the doo done. Well, he's got his Gator sweat pants on which gets all kinds of comments as per usual. After a few minutes another barber comes out and says my son said Chris Rix is a bad qb, and what's funny is, Rix is right here! I laugh thinking it's a joke. Two minutes later out walks Rix, nice hair cut and all. I smile and said that my son wouldn't have said that if they hadn't egged him on. He said that was OK cause my son was right, I am a bad qb! I laughed and said he was good enough to beat my Gators twice, and he said not good enough to beat Miami. The funny thing was, I think he was being sincere. I felt bad for him as I can imagine he can never escape from this stuff. Anyway, here is how it happened. The guy cutting my son's hair knows Rix is two chairs down and Andrew doesn't. So he keeps asking him what he thinks of Rix. Finally Andrew says he is a really good qb, but he doesn't throw the ball right! My son is 11. The guy in the chair between Andrew and Rix laughs which causes him to move his head! The barber misses his hair and stabs himself in the hand and begins to bleed profuseley! He will later require stitches. The guy cutting Rix's hair comes out to tell me my son is dogging Rix and Rix is right here! And that is how it happened! I will say Rix was very humble and I have a soft place in my heart for him. Now, one other tid bit. I cannot go in to detail, but the rumor of a Foley vs Spurrier fued is simply wrong. Very interesting and just file it in your minds for later purposes.
