I have not posted here in over a year. Typically, somebody represents my point of view fairly articulately and I feel it redundant to post a follow up. This post needs redundantcy. Although I seriously doubt any of the regulars are posting a Zook sucks thread yet and I know I am preaching to the converted, Give the guy a break. I was embarassed at the stadium wideshot after the game. It reminded me of the Gator Bowl in '97. I dismissed the UF fan exodus from that game to the nature of an off campus game with a fair assortment of fair weather fans. But a home game???? On second thought. LEAVE. and DO NOT RENEW your season tickets. I swear that if I am ever blessed enough to afford seasons to watch my beloved Gators play. I will NEVER leave early, no matter what the score is. Sure no one likes to lose. But when fans leave early we lose more than our game, we lose our dignity. So if any of you bandwagon fans want to jump ship, I will gladly take your tickets off your hands. The only thing worse than an empty stadium is a full stadium of bandwagoners. Any fan who can be identified as chanting "Spurrier" after the game, should be banned for life. I know that will never happen, but if I were in charge...... Ok that's an entirely different post. We were ONE bad decision and conversion away from evening the score with a very strong National Championship caliber team. I love Spurrier just as much as the next gator, but he is gone. Zook is the man. Yes he made some poor decisions late in the game as outlined in other threads. Any one remember how Spurrier refused to go to the shotgun against FSU. Spurrier learned from that that mistake and if I recall correctly the results were pretty satisfying. Zook will learn. Give him time people. My diatribe is now over.
