These following thoughts are in no particular order and are of one man's opinion(s)....mine. If you agree or disagree, I could care less. Here goes: 1. There's a reason why Miami is ranked #1 and we're ranked #12....and I have no problem with either. 2. We "pressed" Miami's receiver's only 5 times all afternoon? 3. I listened to WRUF coming out of gainesville late Saturday night and it only took 3 callers before some brain surgeon called in (you know the type....the one's who always seem to preface their up-coming remarks with the proverbial "I've been a Gator fan for over 40 years and ....") wanting Zook fired. You're no Gator fan....you're an @sshole!!!!! 4. I feel very badly for Reid Fleming and Matt Farrior. They are both being asked to play a position and do things that they are physically not able to do. But, that's what was left to Zook and his staff and I'm confident that they will continue to work hard, improve/get better. 5. For you "Gator Fans" who booed, KMA! 6. For you 30,000+ "Gator Fans" who left the SWAMP with 12-15 minutes left in the game, see #5! 7. To the Miami fans lurking: When you can play "Base" Defense, like Miami does, rush only 3 or 4, seldom blitz because you don't need to, play "Man-Press" with the Slot receivers on the LOS, play a deep Cover 2, and dominate a good football team like the Gators,in their own back yard, well, my friends, YOU ARE DAMN GOOD! Miami? YOU ARE DAMN GOOD! I don't see anyone beating you in who you have left to play. Playing in Neyland won't bother you at all....you'll thrive on it. 8. Great quote from a Miami player after the game, his name now escapes me: "Stadiums and fans don't intimidate, players intimidate." That's the type of bravado I want to see coming out ofour players this season and many more to come. 9. FSU???? Just a few more weeks and you get yours. Long day in the Orange Bowl coming up for you, IMO. 10. 1st and Goal at the Five and we're throwing? 11. Todd Johnson, thank you for choosing my alma-mater as your school to attend. There are players and then there are warriors....you are a warrior! God Bless you, son! 12. We can beat Tennessee! We can beat UGa! We can beat LSU, Auburn, and Ole Miss! We can beat FSU! 13. A Florida coach (remains nameless) in so many words told me before the game that the freshman receivers and skill players are in some cases better than what we are currently putting in the field. They just aren't ready and will benefit from the red-shirt. That's fine with me. 14. It does bother me that we and Miami are not playing on the same level field, in terms of who can get into their respective institutions. At UF, simply puts, our academic standards and admissions requirements work to hurt us when we play the Canes. They are able to get kids in, being a Private school and utilizing Pell Grants, etal, that cannot attend UF, even when they want to. Now that said, I DO NOT wish for UF to lower their academic standards! I'll live with what we have/what we can recruit. I'd simply like for ALL 118 D-I schools to live by the same entrance standards...of course, i'd like to be 21 again. :-) 15. Thank you, Ron Zook, for choosing my university to come and coach. I admire the tough decision that you made in cioming to UF after SOS....a few others didn't have the balls to do that. You're my/our coach and until that changes, should it ever, you will always have my utmost respect and support. Gotta go, guys! Many papers to grade. Love and kisses to all of you!
