(EDITED BY AUTHOR: 4/6/2005 - 5:50 p.m.)if you had ever served, if you have ever worn the uniform, if you ever took fire or returned that fire with the knowledge that you have taken a life, you would look at that picture and see 2 young soldiers, under fire yes, one of them cowed yes, but resilient noentheless. Maybe because I'm not looking at these pics through the pre-biased filter you have of trying to see a goddamned anti-American agenda everywhere, longing to find the knowing look of a "liberal' who hates America and is trying to take away your guns and your God. Bull#badword#. I have enjoyed the back and forth until now, but it is clear to me and other that you are simply looking for a fight. You said earlier you have made plenty of mistakes. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for you to acknowledge one of them. I've not seen it. You defend every argument you make to the last, either that or try to deflect the argument with some irrelevant factoid from the post of another.
If you knew the men of our combat arms in the Army and Marine Corps the way I and others do, you would have seen that picture and the last thought through your closed mind would be, about how those brave men were being shown in a less than positive light. you have shown yourself through this thread. I would suggest you sit back, look inside for a while and just enjoy the freedom so bravely offered by the men who have the clue you apparently can't find.
