Ev'ry mornin' at the Swamp you could see him arrive
He stood six foot two and weighed two twenty five
Kinda broad at the shoulder and narrow at the hip
And everybody knew ya didn't give no lip to Big Ron.
(Big Ron, Big Ron) Big Bad Ron (Big Ron)
Gainesville, Florida's where Ron calls home
He blew into town, worked his fingers to the bone
He doesn't brag much, he's just that kind of guy
It makes you feel proud, just to say "Hi" to Big Ron.
Somebody said he came from up in New Orleans
Where he got in a fight over a Cajun Queen
And a crashin' blow from a huge right hand
Sent a LSU fellow to the Promised Land-Big Ron
(Big Ron, Big Ron) Big Bad Ron (Big Ron)
Then came the day, I remember the time
When the Defense cracked and men started cryin'
Gators were prayin' and hearts beat fast
And everybody thought that they'd breathed their last-'cept Ron
Through the gripin' and the bitchin' of this unfamiliar hell
Walked a giant of a man that the Gators knew well
He grabbed ol' Rex Grossman, gave out with a groan
And up in Neyland staduim they stood out there alone with Big Ron
(Big Ron, Big Ron) Big Bad Ron (Big Ron)
And with all of his strength Rex gave a mighty shove
Then Taylor Jacobs yelled out "There's a light up above!"
And all the Gators scrambled from a would-be grave
Now there's only one left to thank for the save-Big Ron
Years later at Ben Griffin when Ron Zook had to quit
They just placed a marble stand in front of it
These few words are written on that stand
**At the entrance to the Swamp walked a BIG BIG man** Big Ron
(Big Ron, Big Ron) Big Bad Ron (Big Ron)
FADE (Big Ron, Big Ron) Big Bad Ron (Big Ron)
