While making coffee, my cat is talking to me more than normal so I checked their food and water dish which happened to be full (she'll let you know if they are remotely getting low). I assumed that she was just trying to be exceptionally annoying so I pet her one more time and told her to hush and go away. She jumped up onto the countertop next to me which is a big no no in our house, so I was shocked that she would get up there in front of me. I pushed her down, telling her that she knows better. She meowed at me again as if she was scolding me, waited for me to turn my back, then jumped up there again. This time as I pushed her down, I realized that she was interested in a box of Pringles singles that I had bought for the kids lunches. (The cat had the munchies?) At the time, the only light on in the kitchen was over the sink so it was difficult to make out anything in the box other than a shining eyeball looking at me. I turned the overhead lights on and pulled the box closer to get a better look. Yep, Franco's cousin was in the back of the box, trapped under the plastic wrap.
I slowly rushed the box to the garage (why not outside dummy?!). I went back a few minutes later to see if he had made his way out but he hadn't. The plastic had only been torn enough to get two of the single containers out, so I decided to give him more escape room. As I slowly tore the plastic wrap back, he panicked, pushing his way between the pringles containers and got close enough to the opening that he leaped with all of his might, ONTO ME! I screamed as I jumped back to the door to get away from the attacking frog. After he landed on my leg
he jumped onto the face of our spare refrigerator. I ran inside doing the heebie jeebie dance. I took a heart recovery moment, then opened the door again to see if he was still on the refrigerator, but he was gone.
I'm willing to make a large wager that the little sucker is waiting on the top of the refrigerator to "surprise" me when I open it the next time. I've decided that the kids can go out there to get the juice and waters for their lunches themselves this morning. Their hearts are stronger than mine.
