They do have the overall lead, but that lead is based on wins from a time before any of us were born. Putting on my "Stats-Man" hat: From 1990 to present, we have an 11-1 record vs. UGA From 1980, we lead 13-9 From 1970, we are tied at 16 wins each. (Note here- the Bulldogs DOMINATED the series in the 70s and 80s, and YET, the series is TIED including those years since 1970. What that means is, Spurrier single-handedly ERASED the UGA dominance of TWO DECADES!) From 1960, we lead 22-19-1 From 1950, we lead 28-23-1 From 1940, we're tied at 30-30-1 You have to go all the way back to 19-freaking-30 to finally include a decade that gives UGA the overall series lead. What does this mean? It means UF OWNS UGA right now and what advantage they have in the series was built on wins that no one currently alive ever saw, during an era when they played with no helmets and never heard of the forward pass.
