Well, That sucked. Random thoughts: I haven't scrolled through the board yet, but I hope I'm not being redundant. We need to get better. Way better. I'm happy with Urban. I'm happy with everything he represents, and I'm very happy with the way he's brought us back to expecting to win. I'm happy we don't have to apologize for thugs on our team any more. Having said that, I'm looking forward to seeing how Urban responds after an ass whipping. In the "Other than that, how'd you enjoy the play, Mrs. Lincoln?" department, we had a great time up there. The campus was beautiful, the Dreamland ribs were as awesome as ever, and the people were fantastic! I really enjoyed talking football with them. We met lots of great fans all weekend. I got the appropriate amount of heckling and jawing, no more, no less. It's part of the game when you go on the road. Met some great Tide fans at the White Star Diner in Bessemer. We had a great meal and good conversation. Protho's injury sucked. BIGTIME. It happened right in front of us. I was in that endzone (middle of the goal posts, 5 rows up), and I'm pretty sure I heard him scream. Maybe not, but I think I did. I feel really bad for him. He's a great athlete. Many a local told us what I've read here and in the papers: They've never heard Bryant Denny that loud. It was impressive. Very electric. Too bad our boys wanted no part of that electricity. Coolest Bama Moment: The whole stadium singing "Sweet Home Alabama" and sticking in "Roll, Tide Roll" during the chorus. Very Cool. God, I love SEC Football! So the last two UF/Bama games I've been too ended 31-7 Tide and 31-3 Tide. If that were a game show, it would be The Wheel of Suck. Thank you very much Coach Shula for emptying the bench after Protho went down and running it up the middle four straight plays late in the game. The margin of victory EASILY could have been larger. Very classy.
