is not being dependent upon your editor. It is the journalistic equivalent of a vanity press author claiming to be "published". It isn't the same thing. Never can be. You can write total fiction and garner thousands of "hits" to sell your site. It doesn't give it journalistic credibility. There is no one to oversee or correct you. It is a credibility issue that can only be obtained with proper editing and peer review. It is a sad state of affairs that so many actually take Blogs seriously. They truly are the dark side of the internet and bad for rational debate.
