"Becoming?"

This country is big enough in population that we can have multiple norms at the same time but I've thought for years that a loud segment of I guess evangelical Christians are very anti science and are doing everything they can to make our schools less scientifically rigerous and our descisions less based on logic. I don't think that all christains fall into this catagory but soem that I've know are definately afraid of science. they have fallen into the mistake of seeing themselves as persecuted by science and are fighting back. Some are smarter and braver and aren't afraid of questions and uncertainty but others hate any doubts and try to eliminate them. That is impossible so they will fail but they can hurt us as a country. I don't think its ever worked out so good for churches that try to hold back knowledge. The fearful are underestimating faith. I also don't think its possible to be human and live and not have doubts. We will never have all the answers. there will always be more questions. so what? I think we just have to deal with that. Science and technology have been very good to America. I can't beleive how much we are neglecting it. we are still in front but we sure are trying to slow down. If we don't wise up we'll fall behind.
