"I'm sure all this has been said before, but..."

...here's my take.

We watched the George Mason game at Hooters in Williamsburg, VA. I made them change 2 of the TV's to the game and turn the sound on in the entire bar. I have that kind of power.

Last night we stayed in our hotel room and watched the game. I'm pretty sure we pissed off those in adjoining rooms.

Green was simply amazing. All season long I was impressed with his demeanor on the court. He never, ever showed any emotion. That's why his little dance and celebration at the end of the game was special. He finally allowed himself to show he was having fun.

We dominated every aspect of the game. UCLA did nothing to force our 3 point shooters to miss. We missed plenty of open shots and UCLA didn't stop us. If just a few of them went in, it would have been a lot worse.

Noah playing to the Gator crowd at the end was awesome. The pull-away shot by the CBS cameraman captured it perfectly.

For oh-so-many years I hated the One Shining Moment sappy crap at the end. That feeling changed last night.

I doubt there is anything that can be said about Brewer and Humphrey that hasn't already been said.

This is a TEAM and they played like it. They all had their roles and they played those roles perfectly.

Damn, Billy can coach. He can also hire assistants that bought into the team concept, Larry Shyatt.

Joakim is unbelievable. Unlike Green, he wears his emotions on his sleeve and there is nothing wrong with that. Every team needs the emotional leader.

We had a great time in Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, and Busch Gardens. I saw 6 people at Busch Gardens wearing Gator gear. Outside of William and Mary, the largest representation of a school.

I missed hanging out with you guys and gals and celebrating our NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP with you.
