"God doesn't make mistakes. You're a teacher......"

because that's what you are supposed to be....it's "your gift". You are not in this profession by accident, but by choice. I've never met you but from what I've noticed in your many posts is that you are passionate and driven and care about the well-being of your family, your friend, your students, and your community. You are an asset to to your school and your students, not a liabilty. And you are smart enough to realize that you will never change, that you will never be that guy who "mails it in" daily, as some do in our profression. I have very few close freinds at Titusville HS, not because I am not well-liked or respected but because I refused to associate with lazy, whiney, self-centered and self-absorbed adults, who care only about themselves and not about the kids and why they chiose this profession in the first place. After 31 years, I have neither the time, the energy, nor the inclination to waste it on individuals (teachers and admins) who only care about their posture (looking good) that their actions (being good). You're angry, and probably have good reason to be. Don't let small-minded people who you work with destroy what appears to be a great "life" that you have created and that I am sure your family and your students appreciate. Doors close, doors open. I've been to the penthouse (state titles, Hall of Fame) and I've been to the outhouse (fired in 85 becuase we stopped winning championships). Let me tell you 2 things I've learned from it all: 1. The journey is far more important than the destination in life. 2. "Fear of Failure" has motivated me to do and accomplish some of my greatest things and biggest challenges in my life. Embrace your demons! Face them head-on. Teach and show your children, your wife, your students, and your colleagues that you are a champion....and not a quitter. What legacy do YOU want to leave behind when it's all said and done?
